The tide gauge building is located on the No. 1 jetty in the Royal Naval Dockyard, Devonport.
The building houses the tide gauge equipment which consists of a POL data logger and a 3 channel bubbler system.
The pressure points are fixed to the stilling well beneath the tide gauge building.
The tide gauge is levelled to the tide gauge bench mark supported by Ordnance Survey auxiliary marks.
